Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Insight Engine (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

What the Service does

Insight Engine takes an idea and a founder profile and produces a structured market-analysis report by collecting public data from the open web. The output is informational, not investment advice.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older.
• You’re responsible for the security of your sign-in (e.g., your email or OAuth account).
• One account per person; sharing credentials is prohibited.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the system (rate-limit evasion, fraud, scraping).

Credits & payments

• Each analysis consumes a fixed number of credits, displayed at submission time.
• Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
• Unused credits do not expire.
• Refunds. If a purchased credit pack is unused, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing support@insightengine.example. Partial refunds are not offered for packs where some credits have been spent.
• Failed analyses. If a run fails for technical reasons on our side, the credits you spent are refunded automatically to your balance.
• Promotional codes have their own terms (one redemption per user unless stated otherwise).

What we don’t guarantee

• Accuracy. Reports are generated by AI systems that browse the live web. They can miss niche competitors, misread foreign-language sources, or quote outdated information. Treat reports as a structured second opinion, not as ground truth.
• Outcomes. Decisions you make based on a report — whether to build, pivot, or pass on an idea — are your decisions. We are not responsible for business outcomes, lost time, or lost capital.
• Availability.The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We don’t guarantee uptime, performance, or that any specific feature will continue to be supported.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use the Service to research illegal activities, weapons, or anything in violation of applicable law.
• Don’t scrape, mirror, or programmatically resell reports.
• Don’t submit content you don’t have the right to share, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Don’t attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit charging, or authentication.

Your content

You retain all rights to ideas, founder profile data, and reports generated for your account. You grant us a limited license to process them as needed to deliver the Service (run analysis, store on your account, send to the research provider). We don’t use your content to train AI models. Service warnings

Idea text you submit is sent to a third-party AI research provider so the system can browse the open web. Don’t include trade secrets, proprietary information you wouldn’t enter into a search engine, or anything you wouldn’t want a vendor to log.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, idea content is removed within 7 days; transaction logs are anonymized but retained for tax / audit purposes.

Changes

We’ll update these Terms when the Service changes. Material changes are emailed to active accounts at least 14 days before they take effect.
